Ain Sokhna for the weekend

This past weekend a group of teachers traveled to Ain Sokhna which is located on the Red Sea coast about 2.5/3 hours from Sheikh Zayed for a relaxing weekend at the Cancun Resort.  We had a professional development day on Thursday at the main campus which was perfect it just meant that we were closer and would not get stuck in traffic.  After our PD day was over we headed to the resort.  We arrived early evening and after we were all checked in we had dinner then headed down to the beach.  The next day consisted of laying by the pool, laying by the beach, snorkeling, eating lunch by the beach, taking a nap, and dinner.  It was just my kind of day.  Even though we had quite a few issues at the resort with checking in, checking out, being charged for items that were already paid it was still nice to have a weekend away.  We left Saturday morning and were home mid afternoon.

Road trip on the way there – yes that is a chandelier hanging from Dena’s rear view mirror, she’s fancy 🙂
